I’m hoping that most Canadians can see through this Carney Freeland b**lshit as they are nothing more than Trudeau 2.0! And just a reminder, Trudeau’s carbon tax is increase is coming April first! Wake up Canadians this whole corrupt government now and to the future has to go!!

Carney is just the next puppet for Telford and Butt's to manipulate. McGuinty, Wynne, and Trudeau have had their reputations destroyed. Now is is Carney's turn.

Sick to death of politicians that have never faced the financial hardships many of their constituents have lived. I find elitism repulsive.

"driving up gas prices by another 17 cents per liter"

No the TOTAL is just over 17 cents per liter, not another 17 cents. When it goes up again on April 1 it will be 20 cents per liter total.

Thanks Dan. A good opening analogy. Time to get past the thought there will be an election called ! Carney will destroy Canada with the help of the NDP before an election is ever called !

These two must go!!!

The change in Leadership will be welcomed by Canadians with Federal Conservative Pierre Poilievre. The 9 years of Trudeau must go, he has ruined Canada with the Federal Debt of 1.2 Trillion dollars el al. Ultimately there needs an inquiry with the corruption with the Liberal NDP clowns.

"This morning’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) report tells us exactly what’s coming. Inflation is 1.9% year-over-year..." What a colossal joke!

I've been following a US site called ShadowStats.com that compares modern economic stats like inflation (CPI), with the way it was calculated in the early 1980s before govt sorcerers manipulated the numbers to make them look significantly more benign than they actually are. Unfortunately, we don't have a ShadowStats site for Canadian stats but assuming the stats in Canada and the US are somewhat similar (numbers are generally worse in Canada), its interesting to compare the "offical (read propaganda) numbers" with reality.

For example, compare the blue line (real inflation (CPI)) with the red line (official govt #).

Real CPI was just shy of 8% in 2023 down from a high of 12% in 2022. The "official" CPI was 4% in 2023!

But what really drives inflation (and the cost of living) is the amount of money printed by govt. Again assuming there is a relationship between Canada and US policy check out the incredible growth in money supply (M1, M2 and M3 - M2 being the broadest statistic) over the last 2 decades! As the chart shows, M2 has grown from a year over year increase of just over 2% (2006) to a year over year increase of more than 35% (May 2023)!
