GDP is only partially useful to measure... it includes government expenditures, almost all of which are harmful overall. I would wager that the private sector in Canada has really been contracting for many years.

This applies even though the original purchaser did not take possession and did not take title. A loophole that will eliminate a number of buyers from this advantage. I agree Claudette…very sad but when the born and raised Canadians cannot find work because immigrants are getting work, it is natural, in a way, for them to become dependent on the government. Businesses get subsidized to hire immigrants. I have no issue with someone being an immigrant, but it is an unfair playing field when those who have lived and contributed their whole lives to our economy get bypassed because the government is involved.
