We are in BIG trouble, bigger even than the Trudeau days. The Liberal cabal are ALL UN, WEF order takers and dreamers. They have been getting rich off re-directing billions of taxpayer dollars to their ‘green’ machine buddies. The UN Agenda 2030 will destroy and impoverish every country that is stupid enough to follow their idiotic plan. Canada also signed the WHO agreement. Get ready for an out of touch, badly managed Globalist org to mandate that you MUST have an up to date so-called ‘vaccine’ (not) record before you can fly or even travel internationally OR even within you own country. They want us poor, malleable and corralled into 15 minute cities. Like the Chinese.

It is all a numbers game, you can make numbers look anyway you want, has been like that for ions, nothing changes in politics, only the numbers, make them look like what you thing Canadian citizens want to hear, voila, there you have yours numbers to prove that you are a good manager of Canada’s financial health, I would not trust Carney with money, he has been professionally trained by the Davos Crowd aka “ BIS / WEF how to manipulate and massage a balance sheet, a orchestrated balance sheet can disappear in a heart beat, The Great Depression back in 1929 is a prime example, Corporations do it, day in day to get theirs loans, there is no better business than lending money to falsely contrived balance sheet, there you have it, economics 101, I do not profess to be any kinda of financial guru, just trying to think in common sense, logical manner.

As I read the numbers I asked myself “how the heck do you measure that” over and over, again and again.

You could ask 50 people on any Canadian street what the debt is, what unemployment is, how many vacant jobs they couldn’t tell you. But ask them the latest X trend or Tik Tok that went viral they could answer in a heartbeat

GDP is only partially useful to measure... it includes government expenditures, almost all of which are harmful overall. I would wager that the private sector in Canada has really been contracting for many years.

Please note. Investors who bought pre sales condos. Many are reassigned. However, 1st time buyers cannot claim the GST rebate as noted in “limitations”. This applies even though the original purchaser did not take possession and did not take title. A loophole that will eliminate a number of buyers from this advantage. In other words, another vote buying scam.

Not surprised- as Sherry said - we are in trouble. It will get worse especially for the middle class who literally foot the bill. The rich get richer. Go back to the Covid years to see who cashed in on the plandemic…

Problem is middle class is a dying breed, how many Tim Hortons workers will it take to pay the debt?

I think the plan is Universal Basic Income and Digital Money the government controls, so when the WEF says no poverty, it is because we will all be the same class.

Unfortunately I believe many deadbeat Canadians be more than happy to live off the government, but I know more that won’t

I agree Claudette…very sad but when the born and raised Canadians cannot find work because immigrants are getting work, it is natural, in a way, for them to become dependent on the government. Businesses get subsidized to hire immigrants. I have no issue with someone being an immigrant, but it is an unfair playing field when those who have lived and contributed their whole lives to our economy get bypassed because the government is involved.

Canada will soon have a negative values of GDP per capita as it enters the threshold of a third world country. A once proud world leader, the country has embraced the arms of banana republics.

Payroll employment decreased in March in 10 sectors only increased in 3. Year over year job vacancies in March down in 11 sectors up in only 2, mostly government. Highest consumer with past due payments by at least 3 months, AB and ON. That number is 100,000 Payroll Employment jobs gone in Canada. On has record setting mortgage delinquencies causing serious concerns by Canadian banks. Despite the shouts about not enough housing, the housing market is crashing. The bubbles burst, 1 in 5 houses being sold are power sales. Housing is the biggest share of Canadas economy in the G7. Canada is nothing but a service economy right now and with steel tariffs raising to 50% on June 4 th, the economy will only get worse.

How ironic that the author of the carbon tax was not a Liberal PM but a Liberal PM is vilified in every post you write. Whatever happened to the Conservative conscience.
